How to Play
Select Players: Your task is to carefully choose a baseball player for each cell in the grid. The selected player must satisfy the unique criteria for both the corresponding row and column. Think critically and make wise choices.
Limited Guesses: With only nine guesses available, every move counts. Plan your moves strategically to complete the grid within the given limit.
Daily Grids: The fun never stops! Each day at 9:00 am ET, a brand new grid awaits you. Embrace the challenge of fresh grids every day.
One-Time Use: Players cannot be used more than once in the grid. Diversify your selections and consider various options to maximize your success.
Active and Inactive Players: Choose from both active and inactive players, adding historical depth to the game and expanding your selection pool.
Franchise History: Previous franchise names are taken into account, enhancing the puzzle complexity and adding a touch of baseball history.
Player and Team Cell: Players must have appeared in at least one major league game (regular season or playoffs) for the specified team to qualify for a player and team cell.
Team and Award Cell: In award cells, the player must have won the award during a season while playing for the specified team. All-Star selections, however, are team-specific.
Hall of Famers: Hall of Famers can be selected from any category (player, team, umpire, executive/pioneer) but must have played a major league game for the team specified.
World Series Winners: Players must have been part of the postseason roster during the World Series-winning season to qualify as a World Series winner.
Season and Career Stat Cells: The player's recorded stat must have occurred while on the specific team. Stats for players who played on multiple teams in a season must be associated with the team in question.
Career Rate Stats: Minimums of 3,000 plate appearances and 1,000 innings apply for career rate stats.
Rate Stat Leaders: For rate stats (e.g., BA, ERA), the player must have qualified for the season's rate stat leaderboards.
Two Stat/Award Cells: Players can qualify for two stats/awards in different seasons. For example, a player may match for 40+ HR and Rookie of the Year, achieved in different years.
